Review: It Ends with Us

It Ends with Us It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have no words to describe how this book makes me feel. I'll try though.

First, I couldn't put it down. I felt like I had a front row seat to Lily and Ryle's story. I didn't lose it until the very end though. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so I won't give anything away; I'll just say this is one of the best books I have read in a long time. Then I did the ugly cry, and now I want everyone I know to read this wonderful book.

Review: Chocolate Tiramisu Murder: A Donut Hole Cozy Mystery - Book 9

Chocolate Tiramisu Murder: A Donut Hole Cozy Mystery - Book 9 Chocolate Tiramisu Murder: A Donut Hole Cozy Mystery - Book 9 by Susan Gillard
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This time around Heather and Ryan are on their honeymoon in Venice, Italy and you would think that all that would be on their mind would be romance and sightseeing, but it's anything but that. Of course, there is a murder that has happened in the hotel that they are staying at, and Heather just happens to be the suspect. She, of course, is investigating and baking donuts in the kitchen.

I cannot wait to read the next book to see what is in store for them.

I was given this book by the author for an honest review.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Heather goes to visit her grandmother's friend at Hillside Manor, and she learns that one of the employees is found dead outside.

I am enjoying this series. I love how Heather and Ryan are starting their relationship. I also like how Heather can't help herself by getting involved in solving the mysteries. I cannot wait to read the rest of the book in this series.

Review: Ghost in the Coffee Machine: Coffee and Ghosts: Episode 1

Ghost in the Coffee Machine: Coffee and Ghosts: Episode 1 Ghost in the Coffee Machine: Coffee and Ghosts: Episode 1 by Charity Tahmaseb
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a fun read! Who knew you could catch ghosts by brewing coffee? Katy and her grandmother have always used high-end beans to brew their coffee. Katy's grandmother dies and it seems she has taken all the ghosts with her.

There is a rival ghost hunter who uses tea to catch ghosts, and poor Katy can't catch a break. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series.

Heather and Jake host their engagement party in Paris, France. Unfortunately, her faithful assistant and friend Angelica is the number one suspect. Heather sets out to clear Angelica's name.

I was excited to read this book and when I found out they went to Paris, it made me happy to know that we were getting closer to Heather & Jake's wedding. I am eagerly waiting to read book number 9.

Review: A Killer Ball at Honeychurch Hall

A Killer Ball at Honeychurch Hall A Killer Ball at Honeychurch Hall by Hannah Dennison
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I was given A Killer Ball at Honeychurch Hall in exchange for honest review. I tried reading it twice. The first time I thought I was distracted but I gave it another go. I just could not get into the book. I was unable to finish the book but from what I read, there were no editing issues etc so that is why I am rating it 3 stars.

Big Hair and Flying Cows

This book was such a delight to read. I was laughing out loud and in certain places laughing so hard I was in tears. The main character Bertie Byrd certainly gets into some awkward situations and has some pretty weird friends and neighbors.

I'm certainly glad I stumbled upon this book and can't wait to start reading book number two soon.

Heated and Spiced with Murder

Another fun book by Pearson. This time, Josie & Tony are out on a date at a restaurant and the owner gets picked up by the police for a crime he didn't commit. Josie isn't afraid of snooping and doesn't think about the consequences.

I liked how we got to know more about Josie's family in this book. I had a few laugh out loud moments as well. We finally got to learn more about Tony's dad and now I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book to see what happens there. Josie also gets some news about the Knives & Forks article that she wants to write for.

Pearson doesn't disappoint with any of her books and I cannot wait for book number four.

Second-Hand Murder Book 1 in The Bandit Hills Series

I really enjoyed this book. This was one of those books that sucks you in right from page one. I couldn't put it down. I love how well it flowed, the characters all worked well with each other and the story flowed really well. It certainly makes you want to go and visit the town of Bandit Hills, if not to visit the quirky town, but to see if there really are ghosts that exist there.

I don't want to give away anything that happens in this book, but do want to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book and give it 5 stars. I eagerly await book number two.

Pearson didn't disappoint with Sliced and Toasted. I liked the flow of the story and couldn't wait to see what happened next. It was very well written.

We got to know a little more about Gretta, and she sure is a firecracker. Josie is very brave and witty and doesn't back down, and I love the fact that she isn't some wimpy girly girl. Even though there was a struggle of feelings between Tony and Josie and neither knew for sure how they felt towards each other, the romance between them wasn't too in your face. When it finally did happen it was perfect.

By the end of the story, you are left wanting more. Pearson, you've done it again!

Grilled and Seasoned With Murder Review

I cannot believe Grilled and Seasoned with Murder is J R Pearson's first cozy mystery. She did an outstanding job!

I liked everything about this book, from the cast of characters, some even had me laughing out loud. Trying to figure out the why was fun as well. I am loving the budding romance that is happening between Josie & Tony and I cannot wait to read book two.

Well done Ms. Pearson! You have a new fan and I cannot wait to read the rest of the story.

My first time as a book blogger

Hi all! I'm Dawn-Marie and am an avid reader. I've been reading for as long as I can remember. I would stay up late after my mom would tell me it was time to turn the lights off and read under the covers with a flashlight. Nancy Drew books were my first love and I still collect them to this day.

I'm glad that through GoodReads I've met friends who've gotten me out of my comfort zone of certain genres and had me try other authors so that I'm not stuck in a rut and wouldn't have found other wonderful books.

I belong to a group on Facebook called Thrillers, Suspense, and Mystery Readers group and they have a monthly book club and for the month of March the book is Find Her by Heather Gardner. I'm excited to read this book and to let you all know what I think about this as well.

Please bear with me as I set up my blog and my Facebook page as well.

What are you waiting for? Pick up a book and start reading!
